First thing’s first, Happy Halloween! Second, we had SO. MUCH. FUN. in October and we are thrilled to share our favorites from the month. As most of you know, we had the adventure of a lifetime this month as we road-tripped through Ireland, crossing off so many of our bucket list items. We also loved gearing up for the holiday season, decorating for fall and purchasing all our favorite autumnal foods to get us in the spirit of the season. I have been using this tinted nude-matte eyeshadow primer for several years now and I love it! It's a great base for my eyeshadow and while camouflaging the darker-pigmented areas that make me look tired. When I wash my makeup off, my eyeshadow still looks like it did when I put it on in the morning.

I am drawn to earthy, woodsy aromas and this is one of my favorites! This is the perfect scent heading into fall with its notes of roasted oak, hazelnut, and vetiver. It will remind you of walking through a forest on a cool fall day.

These shoes were an absolute staple during my recent trip to Ireland. I wandered through the streets of Dublin in them, and also wore them while biking through Killarney National Park. Perfect with jeans, skirts, and everything in between!

I am an Instant Pot lover I use mine at least once a week. This appliance is so much more than a pressure cooker and helps retain more nutrients in foods. My favorite foods to cook in my Instant Pot are artichokes, lentils, quinoa, beans, and soups. It saves time and the cleanup is easy.

I have battled IBS issues for a while and have found that coffee's high acid content causes flare-ups for me. After looking for a low-acid coffee that tastes good, I finally came upon this and love it. My husband (who swears decaf coffee doesn't taste as good) even gives it a thumbs up.

Untamed by Glennon Doyle
This book tells a story of navigating divorce, forming a new blended family, and discovering that the brokenness or wholeness of a family depends not on its structure but on each member’s ability to bring their full self to the table. It’s a great bathroom book (where I do some of my best reading)!

My Halloween tradition is watching this movie and my husband is finally on board with it. The Halloween/Christmas mash-up makes my heart so happy and is my kick-off for the holiday season. Plus, I just love all things weird and dark and creepy.

Phantom of the Opera
When this movie came out in 2004, I was instantly obsessed. I initially fell in love with the music when I saw it on Broadway in the late 80s and this movie brought the whole experience back to life. If you come to my house and see this on the tv, you know it’s a PJ and bon-bon day for Jen.

The name may sound familiar if you read our August Favorites, because this limited series is based off one of my favorite recent reads. Jennifer Gardner is incredible in her leading role and the story line parallels the book beautifully.

Outlander
My family is in love with this series, based on the books by Diana Gabaldon. The series is a historical drama with incredible scenery and imagery. It’s a pretty steamy, sexy show but “dinna fash” there are some epic storylines and amazing chemistry between Claire and Jaime.

Decade: Best of The High Kings by The High Kings
We had The High Kings playing on repeat at the tail end of our Ireland Road Trip, and this "best of" album hits all the high notes. "The Black Velvet Band" is a personal favorite that will forever remind me of our epic adventure.

Closer to Home by Sun Divide
Sun Divide is a really cool reggae-rock band that is all about positive vibes and this album will leave you with a sense of peace and serenity. It just so happens that my brother, Thomas Welsh, is the lead singer and guitarist in the band and I would love for you to check them out!
