Judging by what I’ve seen on social media, it’s a general consensus that January dragged on for what seemed to be an eternity. As you’ll be able to tell by this list of monthly favorites, I spent one of the 400 weeks of the past month getting hyped up for the upcoming holiday of love. I made a few small purchases (which were immediately loved), but I mostly settled into familiar favorites to start this new year.
Skin.
Lip Sleeping Mask
Oh, my little nighttime hero, how I love you. Particularly during the cold, dry winter months, this is a must-have for me before I go to sleep every night. Slather it on after brushing your teeth and wake up with the softest lips!
Hair.
Extra Strength Dream Coat
I’ve raved about this product before, but it’s too good to not keep mentioning. If you have hair that is prone to frizz, this will help keep your blow out in business even during crazy weather. I put it to the test in Ireland, and that’s really where the love affair started.
Makeup.
Lip Plumping Cream
This has been my favorite lip gloss for almost a decade, and it will probably always top the list, specifically in the White Russian shade. It’s not like other lip plumpers that sting like a mother f*cker, but I mostly love it because it’s minty and not sticky.
Fragrance.
Cherry Gloss Candle
You’re probably thinking: this b*tch with another Voluspa candle on her favorites. I can’t help myself, they are SO good. This Cherry Gloss scent is incredible with its notes of smoked cherry, rose petals and a hint of leather. The perfect candle to light for your Valentine.
Clothing.
Red Heart Sweater
Of all the KJP sweaters I own, I have not had a Valentine’s day one until I set my eyes upon this beauty. The adorable scalloped neckline with the ever-so-slightly puffed shoulders had me at hello. I can’t wait to wear this on February 14th!
Shoes.
Heart Slippers
I have these cozy slippers with a smiley, and I love them! I am currently resisting the urge to purchase the heart print (how many slippers does a girl need?!), but I highly encourage you to get a pair in your favorite print if you’re in the market for slippers.
Accessory.
Heart Huggie Earrings
I was looking for a cute pair of earrings that gave subtle Valentine’s Day vibes without being over the top. These are so adorable and can be worn all year long. Exactly what I was searching for! There are also a ton of other styles to choose from.
Health.
Teeth Whitening Strips
Love having bright pearly whites but hate the pain it causes with your sensitive teeth? If so, these are for you! It’s super weird to use them because they are green. Yes, GREEN. But they are effective and they don’t cause any sensitivity. Win, win!
Home.
Glass Match Cloche
I would be willing to bet that almost every interior or decor creator has one of these match cloches in their home, and I understand why. With a variety of colors, they add a perfect touch of sophistication to any home decor style. My favorite is the helix version.
Food.
Sparkling Prebiotic Soda
These are all the rage lately, and for good reason. The first one I tried was the Raspberry Rose flavor and it has been my favorite ever since. There are so many delicious flavors to chose from, so there is one for everyone. Pour it in a fancy glass to elevate the experience!
Book.
Little Secrets
Why, of course I had to pick my first L&M Book Club pick as my favorite book this month! Little Secrets has been on my TBR for a while and I am SO glad I finally opened it. It was full of suspense and had me on the edge of my seat every time I picked it up.
Movie.
Dirty Dancing
I rewatched this movie for the first time in what seemed like an eternity and quickly realized how much I loved it. The soundtrack is impossible not to bop around to and let’s just say that it’s a classic for a reason. Can you believe it’s almost 40 years old?!
Television.
Virgin River
My mom recommended that I watch this series and I was hooked so quickly. Based on the book series by Robyn Carr, the show has got a bit of suspense mixed with the best small town vibes. The newest season was released this month and left on a HUGE cliffhanger!
Music.
Love Songs
Is there anything better than an Elvis song? The man holds a special place in my heart because my late grandma loved him so much, and every time I hear his voice I think of her. This Love Songs album is full of all the hits you need on repeat until Valentine’s Day.
