We recently visited Rustiqué Wines for a girl date of watercolor and wine, and (as usual) we left the lush vineyards feeling incredibly inspired by the picture-perfect expression of the beautiful Salinas Valley. We could tell you to imagine the landscape, complete with rolling hills, sprawling vineyards, rusty old tractors and a charming barn, but we would rather let these 25 photos of Rustiqué Wines do the talking for us. As if the incredible scenery is not enough, one thing we both love about Rustiqué Wines is their incredible calendar of events. When we were initially planning our girl date, we had only wine tasting in mind, but we were pleasantly surprised when we found that they were offering a Watercolor Workshop with Jessica Ansberry of Progress Not Perfection Paint Parties. We have attended concerts in the barn, Mardi Gras parties, open mic nights, and their “Barn Daze” and were thrilled to add a paint class to that list.
While every event at Rustique is perfectly curated and a delight to attend, even a simple tasting at the venue is an experience on its own. From the drive through the Salinas Valley to the walk through the 100-year-old barn doors, you will be transported into the beautifully rustic experience that you may not have known you needed. And as for the wines, you’ll just have to visit and let them speak for themselves.
